  • Adrian Griffin to interview with the Cleveland Cavaliers

It's good to see one of Wichita East's best continue to be successful.

Still wish Wichita State could've found a way to keep him at home.

My understanding is that all it would have taken is Cohen asking him.

For a few days during a couple of summers, Adrian would show with a group I use to play with at noon, because he knew a couple of the guys personally (believe me, it had absolutely nothing to do with our level of play). I was told that Adrian wanted to play at WSU, but Cohen never recruited him. By the time Thompson was hired, he had decided on Seton Hall.

There were two area guys who ended up at Seton Hall that same year - Griffin (East) and Duerksen (Hillsboro). I think both had the same reasons for not playing at WSU - i.e. Cohen was a bone head.

Johnny Murdock was another player that Cohen completely fumbled. IIRC wasn't he the one where Cohen got lost driving to watch him and then never returned?

My sis went to school with Adrian at East and always thought he was a pretty good dude. Best of luck to him.
