I don't know if I would play the "race" card but McCombs written statements show a total disregard of reality and a lack of respect for what Strong has accomplished. McCombs ego is huge in his assessment of the texass job which is probably in line with most texass supporters. I guess he has donated over 100 million dollars so that should give him some credibility in making the assessment that Strong would be at most a good position coach or at best a coordinator at one of the top 3 football schools in the US. If that were true there were several people that turned them down before they got to Strong.

I'm not agreeing with Lutz, or saying he was racist with those remarks, but looking at Strong's resume the remarks seems ridiculous at best. Especially that he'd make a good position coach MAYBE even a coordinator. I'm pretty sure Strong has multiple national championship rings as a coordinator at Florida, I might mention that he has been the Associate HC at many of his stops where he was a Coordinator.
It makes me wonder what makes McCombs think Strong isn't good enough to even be a coordinator, but Urban Meyer felt Strong was suited well enough to be his Associate HC?

Bob has a lot of Liberal guilt.
I commend him for his League 42 creation, and I think it's a great thing.
But some of his comments about why he's doing it are a little awkward."Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should accomplish with your ability."
