An employee of the Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic mentioned something to me the other night about wanting to publicize the clinic's upcoming event, Champagne & Chocolate, to the WSU community and he wasn't sure how to get the word out to ShockerNet faithful. I volunteered, so here goes...
The Cassat clinic, located inside the Metroplex at 29th & Oliver, is a privately funded clinic at Wichita State that does not rely on state or federal funding to remain operational. It provides speech and audiology services to the community for a nominal fee, often a less-expensive alternative for those who cannot afford these services or don't have access, either through a school or elsewhere.
Champagne & Chocolate is an fun evening of socializing and partaking of some libations and hors d'oeuvres, as well as being able to purchase various items through silent and live auctions in one of the oldest and historic settings in Wichita! Each year has a different theme to alter the ambience. This year is a "Red Carpet Affair" (Suggested dress for Champagne & Chocolate is business to business casual.)
In addition to the food and drink, there will be live and silent auctions for a chance to bring home some nice Shocker pieces (ticket packages, signed memorabilia, etc.) Please join us!
