  • 40th Anniversary of the Viet Nam POW Dinner

We can only imagine in our worst nightmares what our Vietnam POW's went through on a daily basis and be thankful that we have never experienced their terrible misfortunes.

As some know, this past May marked the 40th Anniversary of the Viet Nam POW Dinner hosted by President Nixon on the South Lawn. The attached link is a video put together by the Nixon Library Foundation that brings back the 1973 events, and their May 2013 Reunion at the Nixon Library.

That is powerful, to say the very least.

I don't know where that ranks on all time favorite posts but it's up there with the very best. Thank you @60Shock: for linking that incredible story.

There is no way for this country to ever repay all the men and women who have given so much over the years for their country. Their sacrifices will not be forgotten by this grateful citizen.

May God Bless those men and their families, and for the ones no longer with us, may God grant them the grace and peace they so richly deserve.
