Orrr.... we could get gapped, by the heavy rainfall and get light sprinkles, not helping anything.

Just a couple of drops of rain, disgusting.

Ranchers and Farmers still need the rain.

Not to mention Cheney and El Dorado lake.

Fun Fact: The Bennington, KS storm which produced a stationary tornado for around 45 minutes was clocked with a mobile doppler Radar (Doppler on Wheels or DOW) having 247 MPH winds (estimated)....second only to the May 3, 1999 Moore storm which had 301 MPH doppler estimated winds.

Tim Samaras, his son, and another storm chaser Carl Young were killed in their vehicle during Friday night's tornado in El Reno, OK. Samaras was known for his conservative nature and level-headedness. If you watched StormChasers, he was on the last two seasons. He was very well respected and a very, very humble and decent individual. The erratic path of the tornado made this one particularly dangerous. The roads were packed in OKC as meteorologists were telling residents to evacuate their homes if they couldn't get below ground. This all led to total gridlock in the southwest half of the city. Total chaos. Don't know if any of the traffic or highway closings during the tornado is related to Tim's passing. It's probably gonna be on the discussion forefront for a while though.

Anyways, RIP to this guy, his son, and fellow chaser. Couldn't have happened to a less-daring and nicer guy. Very, very sad.

Denver article since kansas.com is virtually unviewable unless you pay:

                              ... No really, deuces.

I haven't been able to find any detail about what happened to Samaras. But there is going to be huge debate about storm chasers especially with the Weather Channels chasers who did a "Twister" and drove into the tornado and how all the chasers were clogging the roads up in the metro areas.
