I read some eagle pundits stuff on him - it seems he had lost his way with the eagles, he had started relying on the FA market instead building through draft and it all became haphazard. They admitted some of it might have been due to some win now pressure. They thought a change in sceneryigjt be what he needed to revitalize himself.

At this point this is probably a good move where the chiefs are. He should be able to draw the respect of the players instead the situation where they give some guy a shot who thinks he needs to build his own reputation with the players like Haley. But ultimately it comes down to what their plan for qb is?

Actually I compare his leave with the eagles when the Chiefs and Marty split. Marty didnt become a bad coach overnight, just needed a change of scenery. Interesting that everyone thinks Bill Cowher is a god, but if you compare Cowher record with Reids reg season and playoff record they are very similar, only difference is Cowher won a super bowl.

And Cowher has coached in KC before. That doesn't hurt.

Reports that Pat Schurmer (QB guru and offensive coordinator) may be a part of Andy Reid's future coaching staff. Also Tom Heckart who worked with Reid at Philly may come with him as personnel man (don't know if he would get the GM role or not). Reid would be in control of operations though.

As a Browns fan, I wish you the best of luck. I heard this too. Why is it that the Browns castoffs end up in KC (Quinn, Crennel, Hillis)?

I would take Crennel in a heartbeat for a defensive coordinator. I think that having former head coaches as coordinators is a strength. If Reid worked well with Heckart to go to the Super Bowl before, why wouldn't it be a good combo again?

Hearing reports in KC that he may also be interested in bringing in Juan Castilio and Brad Childress as well.

I think this is a done deal. Now if Pioli can get canned, we are in business. At least this gives me hope as a chiefs fan again. I have pretty much lost it all the past few years.
