Models are showing another wave of potential action for Kansas. Model are kind of all over the place - some have Wichita in the bulls eye, some don't. But it is starting to show up on the HPC winter forecast and this pretty picture is taken from Mike Smith blog

Do our local weather gurus concur with NWS Wichita?

Looks like all the snow will be east of the turnpike.

Heaviest bands will be east of the turnpike. Seen several people predicting 2-3 in Wichita. I agree with them.

I was kind of suprised the NWS came out with a definitive forecast with a prediction of up to 6 inches. Different models are not very consistent yet and are generally saying 2-3 inches and are saying the snow with be more NW and N of Wichita.

Not buying it just yet. But have seen th slight shift to the west. Still think it goes further south and east than these models show.
