Little and McLaughlin DESTROYED their competition in leg 1 and 2 and the USA coasted to a gold and the 2nd fastest time ever. Great to see Sydney and Gabby Thomas (ran the 3rd leg) get another gold medal each. Great Britain and of course, a hard charging Femke Bol for the Dutch kept Ireland from medaling for the first time ever. Phil Healy had the Irish in 2nd but the fetching Sharlene Mawdsley couldn't quite get the Irish onto the medal stand despite her team obliterating their National Record by more than 3 seconds.

Spectacular Track and Field week in Paris, especially for team USA.

Syd is just unreal. So, so fun to watch.

Curious how much she can cram in her program in LA.

Another fantastic day on the track. Men's 5000 was super, the men's 4X400 was outstanding and while the 16 year old Quincy Wilson (the leadoff runner in the heats that just fell apart and nearly cost the American team a spot in the finals) watched from the crowd, Rai Benjamin anchored the Americans to another gold. The pure joy on a 16 year old kid's face was priceless. He gets a gold to take back to his high school. Pretty cool moment.

High jump was good, but the American lost in a jump off...probably could have shared a gold which may cost the USA the most golds (to China) at this Olympics. We were 2 back and I'm not sure what joke sports the Chinese have left. The Americans should win 2 more with the women's 4X400 and basketball (the 4X400 mens was one) to put them one ahead but again, the Chinese may have synchronized mixed table tennis finals yet to come.

And we've got Bol vs McLaughlin on the track one more time in the relay.

Holy crap for Bulgarian's weight lifter, Nasar, breaking the world record. The entire audience was cheering him on regardless of country. Awesome!

It was shocking to see her make a mistake like that though. Seemed like a mistake you would see in a high school meet.

The women's 4x100 relay was awesome with the women barely winning. No thanks to the first runner having the most un-aerodynamic bow and hair updo ever. Hahaha

She might come back with a vengeance in 2028! I hope so!
