  • Clark Hunt to address the media

Clark Hunt to address the media tomorrow.

On 610 radio in KC on The Morning Drive (sometime between 7 and 11. I'm guessing 8 am)

And on 810 radio in KC on The Program (at 11 am)

I'm extremely interested in what he's got to say.

Hopefully that he's searching for a new General Manager

Does anyone know what he said? I missed it.

Actually, this is what he said:

Kansas City owner Clark Hunt says he
expects the Chiefs to compete for a playoff spot next season.
Hunt made his first public comments since the Chiefs lost their
last nine games and finished 4-12. The Chiefs finished near the
bottom of the league in many offensive statistics, and the team
            hasn't won a playoff game since 1993.
Hunt says he expects the Chiefs to rebuild primarily through the
draft and not sign any veteran free agents who won't spend their
            best years in Kansas City.
Hunt says president and general manager Carl Peterson made the
right adjustments two years ago when he hired coach Herm Edwards
and promoted Bill Kuharich to vice president of player personnel.

Make the playoffs by loading up on starters (mind you) from this year's draft. LMAO! This guy needs to fire his writers and advice council.

I took his comments to mean that King Carl and Co. have 1 more year to show significant improvement. If that doesn’t occur then I wouldn’t expect Carl to be resigned after his contract expires. At that point we could be looking for a new GM and possibly Bill Cowhar. All in all I think Clark Hunt did the prudent thing.
