Another Chief turnover. ATL 37, KC 17.

Chiefs Offense probably have enough weapons to cause team problems, but if their defense is going to give up 40 points it is not going to matter.

Romeo defense looks like haley offense. He needs to learn from his predecessor and turn the defense over to someone else.

Kansas City (AP) - In a surprise move Romeo Crennell has added Greg McDermott to his staff as defensive coordinator.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I wonder if the Chiefs had won the coin flip - would they have taken Matt Ryan?

I feel like if the defense is healthy, that's an entirely different game. I felt bad for Jacque Reeves, having not played in the NFL for two years and having to cover Brandon Flowers' shoes is pretty much impossible. He got abused the first half. No Tamba meant to pass rush as not only can Tamba pass rush but he opens it up for others to do the same. Still not sure how I feel about Routt, I really really liked Brandon Carr and I feel like letting him go may end up being a big mistake.

In any event, not giving up on this team at all.

I don't care if the defense is healthy or not - the coaching sucked and they took no risk or made any adjustments, plus the injury situation is not going to get better as the season progress. KC offense can be good as long as you are not expecting Cassell to make something happen, but once they abandoned the run the Chiefs were done. Cassel just has this amazing ability freak out under pressure and make really stupid passes.

In any event, not giving up on this team at all.
This game only counts as 1 loss, but I saw nothing in this game that made me think that this team is going to be a playoff team. Just good enough to tease the fans and be 7-9.

                        Good call.

I was not believing one second of the typical preseason hype.

Kansas City sports continue to shine.

David Akers 63 yard FG in the SF/Pack game. Ball hit the cross bar and bounced through!

Overall I thought Manning looked pretty impressive and if he stays healthy the broncos are a Super Bowl contender.

Replacement refs were not particularly good, but neither were they horrible. We still had football. Refs were earning about $5,500 per game, plus expenses and per diem. Half the country is outa work, and those morons get greedy. Let's move on.
