    I believe you are close with the irrigation. Also the red cedars take alot of water from the ground too.

      They all do, red cedars may be the worst. A Nice tree in the right place is a wonderful thing. A beautiful tree in the wrong place is an abomination.

                3.08 in nw Wichita, with 4 inches reported in some areas farther north.

                But I guess if everybody didn't get it, then it doesn't count and therefore we are all in a Great Depression-like drought or Dust Bowl.

                Did we ever smash the 100 degree day total like was being hyped about earlier in the summer?

                      It's still going to be a problem until creeks and ponds have water in them and are full. We need alot more rain still.
