I came across this today and found it interesting. I had no idea that football had spread like this. They even have a championship which the US didn't win. International Federation of American Football U19 Championships. They also have four continental committees for the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
I knew the sport was played on some professional level in a couple of European countries, but didn't realize that it had taken hold, on some level, in so many around the world. I guess they've been playing it in Mexico for over 100 years now. Obviously not on the level we have here, but it's been played in a number of countries for over 30 years. This kind of competition can only help grow the sport.
