Makes you that much more thankful for President Beggs. I was talking with some folks who had a meeting recently with new President Bardo and they came away favorably impressed with him. So let's hope he will prove to continuie to build on the Beggs legacy. -
Everything I have heard about President John Bardo is favorable. However, I have not heard much. :)
For the last few years, Don Beggs was "coasting" and letting the provost do the heavy lifting; this didn't work out that well. Look at the recent changes in leadership at WSU (e.g. "J. David McDonald, associate provost for research and dean of the Graduate School, will return to teaching and research in biological sciences, Interim Provost Keith Pickus announced.") More changes would not surprise me. (This is not to be critical of the people leaving; for example, Dave McDonald has been a friend of mine for 20 years.)

Just as the Bradley faculty, staff, (certain) alums, etc. are reluctant to discuss shortcomings of the BU administration, I prefer to not answer your question. I read your question as asking me to tie the movement of specific individuals to problems at WSU and I am unwilling to do this.
I understand that you are fan of Beggs and that is fine; I am a fan of his and his wife's willingness to be the public face of WSU athletics and for the outstanding job they did in that role. I'm sure you will agree there are things about WSU that you don't know.Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:

Since you asked a question in post #6, I went to google using search terms ("don beggs" "fundraising" provost). Read, for example, through the 8th link ([DOC]In your opinion, what are the key components of WSU's mission).
