The Boston Bruins set the all time NHL records for wins in a single season at 65 this year (breaking the record of 62).

Their opening series against the Florida Panthers has gone to a deciding 7th game.


Florida led 2-0 and Boston stormed back to take the lead at 3-2 late in the 3rd period.


In desperation, the Panthers pulled their goalie with just over 2 minutes remaining and with less than a minute to go in their season, got the tying goal and have sent the game to a sudden death game 7 OT period starting shortly.


Incredible drama in Boston tonight.


And just like that, about 10 minutes into OT, the Boston Bruins record season comes to an end in the first round of the playoffs.


They line up for the traditional handshakes.

The ecstasy and agony of the postseason. 4-6 months of so-so play can be forgiven with a crazy good play in the postseason. The flip side is that 4-6 months of outstanding play can be cruely erased with a bad day/week.
