National Weather Service says cold front is moving faster than expected and all thunderstorms will be isolated and east of the turnpike.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

They have already decided to not issue a flood watch; activity will be far and in between and mainly SE of the turnpike

Maybe this is why Dofo has drought issues

or maybe it's because we ALWAYS miss out on rain that helps raise the pond level. The hot and windy days coming up to only put the pond lower. i actually thought this was the time that we would actually have flooding rains. I was wrong. Have to wait 50 days.

I will guarantee Wed-Thursday Storm will drop less than 1 inch of rain on ICT. #heavyraindrought; #eastofturnpike

                    One 1" rain doesn't break a drought.

Can I ask why you keep saying eastofturnpike when Oatville is very much WEST of the turnpike?

That's because we had a MCS that pushed through unexpectedly last night and has brought the cold front in faster. We had nearly another inch of rain this morning over much of the area that wasn't anticipated at all last night and this morning. It wasn't even in the forecast. How come you never bring this up whenever we get rain when we're not supposed to instead of always being infatuated when we don't get rain when there is a chance we do? Why? Because it kills your imbecilic argument. So we got something this AM we weren't supposed to get and now aren't gonna get what we expected tonight. Well, geez, sounds like everything evened out.

Again, no mention of the 2-3 inches we received in the last 48 hours. Why? Because you're burnt. Burnt to a crisp.

                        ... No really, deuces.

Wow, way to go out on a limb. First, you started betting people we wouldn't see a drop. Now, you're so confident in your argument that you've upped it to an inch.

Every storm system that passes through doesn't bring 8 inches of rain with it like you think is supposed to happen. We're above normal for the year. You're cooked. You're a troll. End of story.

This is just a guess but what I've gathered from the dodo bird is that he thinks everybody east of the turnpike always gets the rain and hence the really cool hashtag he drops every 5 posts. What's funny though is that in the last 48 hours western and central Kansas have received two massive complexes of thunderstorms, dumping as much as 5-6 inches in some places, while southeast Kansas, the area east of the turnpike, has gotten the least. Some parts of SE Kansas have had only sprinkles in the wake of the dying storm systems coming through. What the dodo bird fails to realize is that everything evens out. He disappears and ignores the fact that everybody west of the turnpikes got dumped with rain but then when SE Kansas is finally in line for its share, it's a "cursed eastoftheturnpike megastorm" that means they only get all the rain and we get nothing and we're basically in a drought. Nevermind the fact that SE Kansas of course is gonna get more rain than any other part of the state because of its geography, topography and natural tendency and climate to get more rain than anybody else. Gee, good call dodo bird. SE Kansas really does get more rain than the rest of us. Do you think that's because they're SUPPOSED to?
