    • I loved Good Times too! John Amos was one of the scariest MoFo's in Hollywood.

If he looked at me that way, I'm either runnin' or shootin'. Maybe both! His stare constituted assault in my book.

What would be hilarious is if he was a total pussycat in real life. I doubt it...

              • Dr. James Rhatigan has passed. He probably has done as much for our University than anyone else has done. The man was an advocate for all things Wichita State and of Wichita as well The man could raise funds for the University like no other. May he rest in Peace

So glad to see his Legacy is still valued and recognized with the University continuing its growth and development. I am sure Dr. Rhatigan is very pleased with that.

                          • This one happened a couple days ago, but deserves a mention.

ESPN - Sports broadcaster Greg Gumbel, 78, dies of cancer

Greg Gumbel, a veteran of CBS Sports who spent more than 50 years in sports broadcasting, has died of cancer at the age of 78, his family said Friday.

"He passed away peacefully surrounded by much love after a courageous battle with cancer," his wife, Marcy, and daughter, Michelle, said in a joint statement released by CBS Sports. "Greg approached his illness like one would expect he would, with stoicism, grace and positivity.

"He leaves behind a legacy of love, inspiration and dedication to over 50 extraordinary years in the sports broadcast industry; and his iconic voice will never be forgotten."
He truly was a staple of the sports broadcasting world.

Jimmy Carter, especially after his President term ended, was mostly known as a good, humble, and high character human being. However, as President he campaigned against President Reagan, calling him a racist, and war monger.

Carter always made a big show of carrying his own suitcases aboard Air Force One (they were always empty)
