Daily Sipper: Willet Pot Still Reserve. Best dollar for dollar bourbon out there.

Step up: Jacobs Pardon. I think it is one of the best small batch bourbons on the market.

At the 130 range I would like to try EH Taylor.

I have been told that it is not good. It’s also fairly expensive at $60/bottle.

I see I've been engaging with lots of "daily sippers" on this board. Interesting!

Not to derail a friendly topic, and nobody has to respond if they don't want to but...

...what if someone could go back in time, erasing the existence of alcohol for consumption and preventing if from ever being invented. What would our society look like today?

Then what if all forms of recreational drugs (including caffeine) were erased and blocked? Pharmaceuticals would still exist but somehow magically never transfer to the streets for abuse.

I guess the overreaching question is... are we better off as a society ingesting chemistry for pleasure, or not.

P.S. I am in no way a teetotaler. But I do limit my intact for specific social purposes believing that every drink I take, diminishes my capabilities and leaves a permanent cumulative mark, albeit small.

P.P.S. I did search for an alternative to alcohol retaining most of the positive effects and eliminating much of the undesirable. The best I came up with is micro-dosing psilocybin. Haven't had the balls/initiative to test the theory out yet.

The inference (whatever it may be)... is the hook my friend.

Tell us more. You piqued my thought on this. Do you think our Covid response and societal opinions would have played out differently?
