Just finished up watching the Fox documentary on him. Amazing how many lives he touched. The Madden video game series and his commentary both had a big impact on my love for football and sports as a kid.
It’s also amazing that as much as people view him as a caricature of himself, he was actually incredibly knowledgeable if you wanted to learn more about football. The fawning over the "young" coaches today and John Madden took over the Raiders at 33 and retired from coaching at 42. Retired younger than Brady today. Amazing.
Brady doesn't fire up heaters like Madden used to, so there's that.Comment
