IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE: No confirmed cases of human-to-human transmission (per Reuters). Stay away from chickens in China.
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

        Yet.

But just to be safe we better mask up just in case.

Should we shut down to slow the spread?

Yeesh! But still: I'll jump off that bridge when we come to it.

I’ve had swine flu. Surely bird flu won’t be worse.

I hear you start buying blue t-shirts at Walmart tho. I don’t think it’s worth the risk.

Why does everything originate in China?

My new bike came from China. I like to refer to it as a slate colored gravel bike. To call it a chinese bicycle would be bigoted and racist. I do call my Cannondale a Canadian bike, though.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.
