MLB Field of Dreams Game: Five things to know as Yankees, White Sox meet in Iowa

There was a time when I couldn't get enough of major league baseball. I was a passionate fan (baseball card collector) until the strike in 1994 when the World Series was cancelled. That did it for me and I don't watch anymore. However, tonight, I'll be tuning into FOX. I was never a fan of the Yankees or White Sox, but these are the two teams that should be representing major league baseball in this game. Also, Field of Dreams is my all-time favorite sports movie. Hopefully, tonight will 'rekindle' some of my former love of major league baseball. Visiting Dyersville, Iowa is still on my bucket list.

That's correct... they couldn't make the actual Field of Dreams field work, but the alternative ballpark is within a driver and wedge. Probably a driver, a shanked 7 iron, a bladed wedge and a putt from the fringe for me.

Agree, pretty flippin’ cool. The Yanks just yanked a couple of dingers with two outs in the top of the 9th. Fun game to watch with plenty of nostalgia… the pregame was special.
