Oooh, good one. And that reminds me of Buck's BBQ at Tyler and Central with the best dang burnt ends. I miss those burnt ends to this day, though When Pigs Fly has my back from time to time with their daily special.

I've been "stuck" with my friend for 52 years anyway.

Bell Pepper Company? Where was that because it sounds familiar.

There's still a Big Cheese in Salina. It's an easy to go right off I-135 and it's as good as it used to be. Not saying it's worth the 2 1/2 hour round trip, but it's close to worth it.

Carlos and Wongs reminds me of a great Wings highlight...Wings vs Somebody in BBA @ KC in Park City. Playoffs. Wichita up late, and a timeout. Other team's coach gets in a shouting match with Steve Zungel, the Lord of all Indoors. Somebody (could have been Dave Phillips, Dave Armstrong or a national sports guy) while doing the highlights starts voicing over what the 2 might be saying as they flail their arms at each other, and says something like " I don't know, where do YOU want to go for dinner??!! How about Carlos and Wongs??!! with the argument taking place right next to the C&W banner on the boards. Not sure why I thought it was so funny, but 40 years later I still remember it.

Longneckers condiment bar for the burgers was amazing.

                          Was it Farrell's Ice Cream?

Pasta Mill was great, the BEST pasta primavera of all time, anywhere.

Which came first......Tippins or Pippins? One was in KC on the plaza and was incredible.

We had an A&W Root beer drive-in not too far away from us. Parents would take us to get a Root Beer Float in a frosty mug. I think my dad still has one of their trays hidden somewhere in his basement.

Did the trays ever really fit on the driver's window or is that one of those urban myths?
