Iconic Karla Burns passes away

Born in Wichita and a WSU alumnus Karla Burns passed away early Friday morning surrounded by friends after period of illness she was 66.Tom Frye a longtime friend said "She was an angel on earth for us to enjoy". I remember watching Ms Burns in several productions at WSU as well as later at Roxy's and the Forum here in Wichita. She had several scholarship offers to study elsewhere but she thought " Why go away when you can study with tremendous people here". I for one will miss here radiant smile and personality.

Karla was a dear friend of my late Aunt, who helped guide her through the early stages of her career. Wonderful human being who was as humble as she was talented.
