WICHITA, Kan. - Former Wichita State baseball player Scot McCloughan has been named the General Manager of the San Francisco 49ers.

"Former Wichita State baseball player Scot McCloughan has been named the General Manager of the San Francisco 49ers.

He was promoted to general manager after serving as Vice President of Player Personnel.

McCloughan played for the Shockers from 1990-92 and earned third team All-American honors in 1992 and was a two-time all-Valley honoree."

As a 49er fan....I can only hope he does a better job of getting some talent in that organization and can work with poor ownership.
