If we are talking people, Jerry Clower. If we are talking busts, Mrs Maisel.

Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Robin Williams, Richard Pryor in no particular order.

Personally, I find Dennis Miller phenomenal. I could listen to him for days.

Robin Williams was hard to beat; this was one of his best.

The Chappelle show is the greatest thing to hit tv. If you don’t know who Clayton Bigsby is, you should look him up.

Yeah, I missed including Chappelle in my list. Not sure if he'd be in my top 4, but definitely top 10.

Oof, yeah, Williams over Dangerfield for me. Both great, but Williams was brilliant.

Dave Chapelle, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy

Maybe Chris Rock or Kevin Hart. George Carlin, Richard Pryor...there’s way more comedians than presidents, plus some comedians are actually good at their job.

Agree about Dennis Miller. Bill Burr is pretty good.

I absolutely love Stand-Up. As far as a Mt. Rushmore, that's insanely tough as there are some tremendous legends and a lot of great talent around now.

Robin Williams, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Dennis Miller

Off Topic, but some of my current favorites are Bert Kreicher, Dan Cummins, Chad Daniels, Jimmy Carr, Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan, Iliza Shlesinger, Bill Burr, John Mulaney, Anthony Jeselnik, Tommy Johnagin, Kyle Kinane, Demetri Martin, Nick Swardson, Nick Thune, Doug Benson, Ron White, Dave Chappelle, Jim Jefferies, Tom Segura, Nate Bergatze, Daniel Sloss, Nikki Glaser, Joey Diaz, Jim Norton, Gabriel Iglesias, Jo Koy, Jeff Dunham, Taylor Tomlinson, Ricky Gervais, Mike Bribiglia, Katherine Ryan, Dan Soder. Joe Rogan, Kevin Smith, Eddie Izzard

Others who are dead or less active would be Steven Wright, Patton Oswalt, Mitch Hedberg, Sam Kinison, Chris Rock, Bob Hope, Dane Cook, Craig Ferguson, Lewis Black, David Cross, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Bernie Mac, Robert Klein, Redd Foxx, Bob Newhart, Bill Cosby (he was still funny)

Did Rickles actually do stand up? I've only seen him on talk shows and the old Dean Martin roasts and the man is one of the funniest people ever. I'm sure he did some stand up at the least, but if he did more than I think, he may get put on the mountain as well. I love binging Rickles on YouTube. His best of Carson or the roasts and he was brilliant.

I'm sure I've missed/over looked other names that I would add.

Did I mention that I love stand up?

Tough call so I'll go with ones I think have had big influences on others - in alphabetical order:

George Carlin - in addition to his comedy, I think he showed one could succeed by just doing stand up and selling recordings of it. Most comedians seem to see tv and movies as their golden ticket, but Carlin never did, and what he did is probably easier for today's comics to do with the internet and cable tv specials.

Johnny Carson - without him and the Tonight Show, I'm not sure people would have known most of the comics from the 60's through the 90's. Appearing on his show and having his approval was a big boost to careers.

Redd Foxx - most of us probably just knew him from Sanford and Son, but a really good stand up and was a trail blazer for comics like Pryor, Cosby, etc.

Joan Rivers - likely paved the way for female comics after she appeared on Carson and even filled in as a host for him at times

Lots of good comics out there both past and present. The free streaming service, Tubi, is a good place to find a lot of taped shows by comics. I've always like the ones too that had some extra talent, such as impressionists like Rich Little and Frank Caliendo, or music talent, like Terry Fator and Bo Burnham.

I forgot about Caliendo. Love him. Tubi is great for some good standup. You're not going to see the heavily produced and marketed stuff there, for the most part.

But between Netflix, Amazon and Tubi you can see a lot of good comedy. I'm guessing HBOMax has some of their old content as well but I haven't looked into it.

I haven't heard much of Burnham, but I have friends that are big fans.

                                You left out Jeff Dunham.

Agree with your points on all four.
