  • New Music

Figured this would be a fun topic. What's everyone listening to as far as new music goes these days? I've been trying to find some new music and have stumbled across one particular artist that I like. His name is Colter Wall...he's basically a Canadian Johnny Cash, but he's still original in his own way.

Not to de-rail Kel Varnsen 's thread, but new music could also mean how many have been exposed to it. I'll post three groups I have enjoy for some time. Let me know if you already knew about them.

First is 7th Avenue Band (well sort of of a band):

Next is Home Free. Same idea, different flavor (country style).

Last is Postmodern Jukebox. I'm sure you'll recognize the first song being WSU fans, just a different twist, which is what this "group" always does.

Colter Wall is kinda interesting. Sorta country, sorta Americana. Can't sing with his eyes open which is different

I still got the idea that "new music" is REM or Dire Straits.

This is my favorite musical era

I'm not a huge fan of new music. I will listen to just about anything.

George Winston, Leslie Odom, Dierks Bentley are some "recent"s.

A quick peek at my bicycling favs may or may not include songs from: Smashing Pumpkins, Led Zeppelin, ELO, Irma Thomas, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, All American Rejects, Fleetwood Mac, Bill Withers, D Bentley, Tom Petty, L Odom, Queen, Three Dog Night, and there are many many more. So my tastes vary.

Most of the "new" music I listen to is 2+ years old. I'm all over the spectrum with it, but rarely listen to the radio and therefore miss out on new stuff until later.

A great Christmas album that holds a lot of memories for me. Harry Connick Jr. is a boss. I met him once.
