  • Classics IV, Atlanta Rhythm Sectio, Santana

When the Classics UV brokle (around 1970), Dennis Yost (vocals) kept the name. The rest of the band became Atlantic Rhythm Section.

While tracking down some of that history I ran into Santana's version of "Stormy". I've followed this type of music but never heard this version.

The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Unrelated (atleast I think) Michael Viner's Incredible Bongo Band covered In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida in 73. For me its one of the few cases where the cover holds up just as well as the Original but that just IMO

Speaking of Santana, their concert at Henry Levitt in '73 was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.

The worst at Levitt was Sly and the Family Stone (they were all flying higher than kites that night).

Still kick myself for not going to Buddy Miles and Jethro Tull when they played there, but did make the Black Sabbath / Mountain concert when the warmup band, Black Oak Arkansas, stole the show.
