Rob Gronkowski Announces His Retirment From the NFL

Not a surprise. I really liked Gronk as a player. Kind of a cross between the old style tight ends and the new age tight ends. Helluva player. Probably a good move on his part to retire at this point and not put his body through any further trauma. The Patriots will no doubt miss him but they always seem to find a replacement somewhere, somehow. But the Patriots dynasty has to be coming to an end in the not too distant future doesn't it?

He's been on record that he's never spent a dime of his NFL money and has been living off his endorsement earnings. I'm not sure he'll be able to walk without a cane in 10 years, but he's got the money to live high off the hog for the rest of his life.

Seems like a nice guy, just happened to play for the Patriots. Wish him well in retirement
