Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S.-born Islamic militant cleric who became a prominent figure in al-Qaida's most active branch, using his fluent English and Internet savvy to draw recruits to carry out attacks in the United States, was killed Friday in the mountains of Yemen, American and Yemeni officials said.

It's OK to just kill her without a trial?

I have little problem with this. He chose his side and actively recruited and planned acts of violence against the United States. If he and others were killed in an attack than so be it.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Royal,
I don't often disagree vehemently with you...however, on this one I do. Did this worthless piece of subhuman debris allow for a "trial" in all the plots that he masterminded and called for behind his pulpit "for the religion of peace" that caused the deaths of thousand of innocent Americans?
Because of the time I spent in the military and the fine soldiers I served with, some of whom were killed on 9/11...I have not forgotten. I am still in the process of trying to get over the idea (based upon my experience as a soldier) that anyone who prays to "Allah" is not my enemy. You see I took some time and read the book, I can convert, die, or become an indentured servant. Those are 3 wonderful choices to have for a non-muslim, huh? I would gladly pull the trigger on this fool, and all of his followers and not feel one bit of remorse.
Everytime I'm patted down at the airport, because I can't get through a metal detector as a result of my now defective body, I'm offended. I understand why, but I am offended none-the-less. I am offended when a person wearing Muslim clothing, and appears to be Arabic walks through easily because we are afraid of profiling. It seems to me that the terrorist targeting us have all had Arabic/Muslim names. Many if not most, have appeared to have not been light skinned. I resent the fact that because I feel the way I do, some call me a bigot or a racist. That is not my intention, it is common sense.
I am tired of the terrorist changing my way of life, and the way I feel about other people. Am I wrong to be happy this guy is dead? I'm still sorting my way through the situations I have endured to worry much about this guy and his family/followers.
Thanks for letting me vent!
