  • NCAA Question

For you NCAA gurus ... is it allowed for college basketball players to go work for third parties in the off-season to teach at basketball camps? For example, if you are raised in Dallas and grew up there playing for a club team, in the summer could you go work for the team as a counselor at their basketball camp? Or can you only work for the university you play for?

I'm not sure they can get paid for their basketball skills. They can hold other jobs in the offseason, but I don't think they can be basketball related. They could volunteer and help, I believe, but not receive pay for it.

Ah, okay. I guess that makes sense, but for some reason I was thinking they were allowed to get paid for doing camps.
