Isn’t that a term associated with tidal waves, something we have so much of here?

The Wranglers was a great name considering it tied into Wichita's root as a cowtown.

What would be some alternatives on the cowtown them?.

    Buckaroos
    Chaps (pronounced Shaps)
    Bullbangers
    Bullbusters
    Branding Irons

If the want to go with a weather theme:

    Wind Blasters
    Twisters
    Thunderclouds

And of course you could go with he aviation theme.

The need to put out 5 names plus a none of the above option and let the fans vote. If none of the above wins put out 5 more.

Wind Surge? SHOCKvalue is right. We would soon be known as the Wichita Farts. Who in the hell is responsible for this?

lol Eldridge has a poll up and 80% don’t like it. It’s probably past the point of no return at this point but if they can reverse it, they should do it. The whole build up to this was ridiculous and now this is ridiculous. They might wanna keep their account deleted for a while because the backlash is pretty savage right now.

    Just like the stadium.

It's all so perfectly Wichita though. We can't have nice things.

Logo and colors are somewhat reminiscent of the Wranglers, which isn't exactly the best first step.

Pretty bad. There were a lot of good ideas out there...

    Logo isn't terrible, really.

Also maybe some indication that the Wichita flag thing has come full circle and needs to die a little.

    Ain't that the truth.

I think minor league hockey is a great example of what MILB players should be looking for as far as player treatment.

This part doesn't apply to our new facility but there are other aspects the are being discussed in a new bargaining agreement between MLB and MiLB. Some proposed changes are the number of teams a MLB club can field as well as an agreement on the number of people MLB will furnish for development. Also on the table is the number of teams in a league some will increase and others will decrease. Also how they are set up in regions. Apparently there are going to be numerous changes being looked at even concerning moving the draft after the CWS tournament. This could be really weird and interesting in the end to see where we wind up.

    back to the name...
Kansas and Wizard of Oz reference as Rainbows, with a Flying Monkey as the team mascot.

This is a very preliminary proposal that is a long way from being adopted. If adopted it would likely affect the upper levels of the minors very little. Every MLB team has just one AAA and AA team and that is unlikely to change. The real impact would probably be A ball and below, especially the rookie leagues if they end up pushing the draft back which I believe is part of the proposal.
