Hadn't heard anything about arm problems and was a bit worried as I hadn't seen anything today other than Adcock as the starter. Hope his arm doesn't fall apart considering the lack of work he's been getting.

Royals are tied at 2 in the bottom of the 5th. Adcock appears to have been pretty efficient. Last I checked, he'd thrown 44 pitches and 33 for strikes. Hosmer has hit two solo shots.

5 IP, 50 pitches, 26 for strikes, 0 BB. A promising line.

And real nice to see Hosmer with multiple HRs!

The offense is getting going in the 6th with 2 runs on 3 straight 0-out hits from the top of the order (Gordo, Melkman, #countrybreakfast).

Just watched the highlights of Hosmer's homers. First one was on a change-up low in the zone - no surprise. But the 2nd one was a fastball up in the zone, which is typically tough for lefties. He crushed it.

I really wish Yost would stop taking Gio out at the end of games. Getz isn't that much better on D and Gio isn't going to get better if you don't give him the opportunity. Aren't we playing for the future right now? One player has a place, the other doesn't...
