I didn't follow the trial live. I just read the daily stories and it never seemed that the prosecution had that proverbial "smoking gun". Prosecution job is to prove someone is guilty.

The LORD is slow to anger and great in power; the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.

      Nahum 1:3

I don't have to have much more evidence than the fact she didn't report Caylee missing for 31 days, the rest of the evidence is just icing on the cake for me. Sometimes juries should use a little logic and look past the so called smoking gun. I've watched Dateline and 48 Hours and have seen people convicted on less evidence. As a mother you are in charge of what happens to your child and she never gave a reasonable explanation as to what happened to Caylee.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

Not sure who said it but . . .

Better a thousand guilty men go free than one innocent man go to prison.
          . . . or something like that.

            Who said it

No one. It's a bastardization of the twelfth-century legal theorist Maimonides. "It is better and more satisfactory to acquit a thousand guilty persons than to put a single innocent one to death."

And he was espousing a principle even older than that, drawing his ideas from the Bible. (Genesis 18:23-32)
