    Wow.

Perhaps if the prosecution weren't trying to pull a Foulston, who already had a confession, they would have done the job right.

Why Casey Anthony's Verdict Makes Sense

An interesting read. Dr Ablow is a psychiatrist and puts forth a possible scenario revolving around the mental aspect of possible things. Not that it is what happened or that he believes happened.

Ok, Dr. Albow, who killed her then?

You're telling me in this scenario, even if given the bipolar opposite reaction to "normal", that you would just ignore where your daughter was for 31 days, making up false persons and stories throughout?

Hopefully, she'll end up like OJ, when her good luck and fortune runs out and karma comes a knockin'.

I don't pretend to understand the complexities of the human mind/brain. I find it hard to believe that she didn't do it. With that said, it sounds like all the prosecution had going for it was her odd behavior and no real evidence. We live in a world where science trumps everything. And in this case, science was more likely to show a possible alternative than that she was in fact the killer.

Interesting, I didn't follow the trial enough to have an opinion of my own.

However, judging from the reaction from most people it was an unexpected verdict.

That post told you thinks you probably already knew but oh well.

And just like in the O.J. trial, the "real" killer is still out there and has not been caught.

I did not sit thru every minute of the trial like the jurors did.

It’s obvious that the prosecution did not have a strong enough case to make their point and it looks like it was a pretty weak case and the defense attorney did an outstanding job.

I would think that things may be a little tense when she gets back to her parents house with everything that was said.

I didn't watch every minute of the trial either but by most accounts the prosecution did a pretty good job. I wonder had the trial been held in say Kansas or Texas if there would have been a different verdict.

Basically by not convicting her you can basically say it is possible to kill your kid and never serve time for it as long as you tell a whole bunch of lies and nothing you say makes any sense.

I also didn't follow the trial but as I listened to a few commenters like Mark Levin, it sounds like there was absolutely no evidence linking her to the crime, but only her behavior afterward. My gut tells me she did it but without evidence (they don't even know the cause of death?) besides circumstantial, a guilty verdict was unlikely.

I've been on a jury where we had to acquit even though we felt like the defendant probably committed the crime (or at least a crime if not the specific one he was charged with), but there was reasonable doubt.

No one is saying she didn't do it, just that the prosecution did not overcome the burden of reasonable doubt.
