    Don't mess with the mouse.

As a kid I worked in a retail store for awhile and the owner was notorious for getting "deals" on closeouts and then shipping them to all the stores to move at decent prices.

One time we got a bunch of "mouse club" shirts (totally not related at all to our day to day merchandise) that sported the recognizable logo. I swear within a week, I had a customer (just a random person that had shopped there many times) comment that we couldn't sell that line and the reasons why not.

Before that day was out, all 12 stores got a call from the owner to pack up the stuff and overnight it to the home office in Tucson. He got a shot across the bow from Disney corporate that advised him it would be in his best interest to remove the articles asap. I just felt like telling that story for reasons that now seem irrelevant but I'm too lazy to hit the delete button.

My money is on the Mouse. Bruckheimer or Bay to make a suckfest so bad that the SEALs will disown the name and the number six permanently. Could be worse, they could give it to Rather...or Kevin Smith

Mickey Mouse Surrenders to Navy SEALs in Trademark Battle
Well, that was quick: Mickey Mouse has waved the white flag and surrendered to the real SEAL Team 6.

Disney is withdrawing its applications to trademark the name of the elite Navy squad responsible for killing Usama bin Laden, the Navy said on Wednesday.

"The Navy is committed to fully protecting our trademark rights as it pertains to this matter and will continue to examine all our legal options," Navy spokeswoman Amanda Greenberg told FoxNews.com, adding that the military continues to broaden Navy's existing portfolio.

Disney did not return numerous requests for comment.
I'm not surprised. And had it gone to court, I don't think it would have looked good for Disney to be fighting the Navy on this and I'm guessing the Navy would have won anyway.
