Are they really? My girlfriend absolutely loves them.
      2nd Friday. $25/ea.

Daughtry is also playing I think on the 2nd Saturday. $40/ea.
      Time to start planning.
Do you have any idea when tickets go on sale? I noticed the date is also her birthday so this must happen. I'd like to get tickets as soon as I can so I don't forget and screw this up. Couldn't find anything on the Fair or Third Day sites.

I admit it, I love reading about touring acts and this thread caught me. And seeing the acts mentioned at the Kansas State Fair sucked me into clicking over to see all of the acts. It looks like a good lineup for a State Fair and if I lived closer, I'd have to attend REO and Daughtry. With that, while paging through the KSF website, I happened across one of the banner images, I had to laugh. Some creative genius at the ad agency representing the fair designed this graphic:

This can be taken in so many different ways!!!
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Most bands that play venues the size of intrust also charge more then I'd like to spend on a concert. I've seen Metallica twice and they put on an amazing show, but I wouldn't be $75+ to see them again, which is what I'd think they'd charge. The only group I can think of that is known for keeping prices reasonable that could also play a venue that size is Pearl Jam, but I'm not sure they have that level of drawing power in Wichita.

Down here, that slogan is safe.

                              Up in Nebraska . . . well . . . not so much.

Chuck still tours some. Only a handful of dates a year. If he came through Wichita I'd see him wherever he was. I don't care how old the man is!
