I think they can get to 70. Starting pitching appears to be the weak point but I think the offense will be pretty good and the pen looks stronger. Hochevar isn't a number one but he can be effective. Don't know how Francis will be returning from surgery, Davies always shows some flashes and he better show more than that or this is his last year in KC. Chen just needs to do what he did last year.
SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Newcomer Matt Treanor will be the Royals' starting catcher on Opening Day, manager Ned Yost said on Tuesday.
Treanor, a veteran brought in primarily to guide young pitchers, will catch starters Luke Hochevar, Kyle Davies and Vin Mazzaro. Less experienced Brayan Pena will handle the more experienced Jeff Francis and Bruce Chen.
With Hochevar starting the opener, that puts Treanor in the lineup on Thursday against the Angels.
Blanco cleared waivers and will be a.....Storm Chaser
I wish I were able to be at home to watch the game today and see Hochevar take the mound and see what the boys can do. Looks like I'll be following the gametracker until I can get off work then I'll catch a little of the game until the girlfriend gets home and then we're off to watch the Shox with a couple of good friends.
Would love to both start and finish seasons off with wins today!!! Is that too much to ask for?

Salvador Perez can't be ready soon enough...
How ya feel about Treanor now, Sub. ;-)
He's had a pretty decent start, but he is NOT the answer. I will not be happy until we no longer have Traenor or Kendell catching for KC.
