I haven't officially reviewed Il Vicino but ideally would like to avoid it. My friend is the manager there and it may be a biased review as I know exactly what I like there and the servers always treat me well.

Looks like the owner has lost $225,000 in the first six months of business. This is what happens when you are in a location where you need great service and food to succeed and you don't deliver.

I went there on Saturday for dinner and the service and food was very good. The food is reasonably priced and it was fairly busy with local proms going on this last Saturday. I think the location is what is hurting it along with the poor reviews it received early on. If you didn't know it was inside the Drury Inn, you might never know about it.

That's the unfortunate part. Many times, you only get one chance to impress as a restaurant. If you screw up within those first 3 months, you're pretty much done.

My wife and I made it to Picasso's Pizzeria last month... great food and great service. Simply outstanding!
