can someone recommend a great steak in dodge ?? we are going out for a weekend casino trip and would like an idea. the casino is wonderful, but , like most casinos, the food sucks.

Do not go to the Dodge House.

I was with some buddies and they ordered a steak at "market prices."

I've never heard of a thing in Kansas/beef country.

The steak wasn't good and it was over $20.

Casey's Cowtown Club isn't too bad. Just south of downtown.

yeah I concur with not going to the Dodge House.

With that said I cant really recommend anywhere to eat as we kept it Family Reunion food style.

We have an office in that cesspool of a town and I would never go there if it was not for business.

I would not take my worst enemy there.

The best food in town is at the Casino so what does that tell you?

yeah agree the town is, well, bad . we kindof like the drive out and the casino is small but beautiful. The cathedral i went to church is beautiful.

Ok, I asked one of my sales guys in Dodge that has lived there all of his life.

Mariah Hills is the public golf course and a bar called Bad Habit are the two that he says are the best.

I usually eat at the country club out there, which is pretty good...if you can call it that, but I'm pretty sure you have to be a member. The place I had my best steak at in Dodge burned down a couple years ago... :( I liked that place because I ordered a 24 oz Ribeye, it arrived (looked a little small) but I ate it anyway. Waiter came back 15 minutes later and told me they had served me an 18 oz by mistake...he had a 24 oz in hand. I didn't eat again for a at least 24 hours.

The casino food isn't terrible. Depending on when you were there last, the chefs have changed.
