  • Serrel Smith 6'4 G 2018 to Maryland

Wichita State has offered 6'7 Serrel Smith from St. Petersburg, Florida. Serrel is a late bloomer, he's grown from 6'2 to 6'7 within the last year and a half. He was originally listed as a point guard by most sites but it's unclear which position he may play now that he's grown several inches. Serrel has offers from South Florida, Ole Miss, Rhode Island, UMass, Florida Gulf Coast, Wyoming and James Madison. Serrel plays for St. Petersburg High School and runs with Nike South Beach on the Nike AAU circuit. He's averaging 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists per game while shooting 35% from three.

Sweet 'crossovers' in his 39 point game; @Tyrone Shoelace: would approve.

Obviously a Jonesy guy. He has great handles but appears to be another player that Ggg covets with multiple skills who can play 1,2, or 3, can guard multiple positions, and is a guy who can get himself open for a shot w/o help. The biggest point is that he isn't close to his ceiling yet.

Lol good night. This kid already looks like a D1 player. He has the handles, the ups, the stroke. A 6'7" PG would be amazing.

SMU has one, although he's often listed at 6'6". Shake Milton is a very good player. Similar stats to Shamet. 2.5 A/TO ratio. Rated the top player in the AAC by NBA scouting services.

It really irritated some SMU fans when I posted on the AAC board that ESPN had named Shamet one of the top 15 players in the nation, and no other AAC players were on the list. Then some Cincy fans felt they had been disrespected. That thread turned into a bit of a ****-fest.

Shocks would want to end this quickly and sign this young man. Would be a crazy addition for the shockers
