Response from a Xavier fan when I asked him to compare the progams and how he thought Wichita State could reach X's sustained level of success:

- I don't know enough about the Wichita State program at this point to give you much of a comparison/contrast between the two programs. I've only been here for a little over a year. Wichita State has similar support (though the facility is not as nice). Wichita State clearly hasn't been recruiting at the level of Xavier until recently. And they haven't been as fortunate in having a long succession of good coaches.

My biggest suggestion: enough with showing the unfurling of the NIT banner at the end of the intro video to fire up the crowd. It screams mid-major. It was a nice, fun run last year, but being in the NIT (even when you win it) is not something that should be long celebrated. Unlsss you love the mid-major life.
