    From MVC sports:
    Wichita State

    Futurama

Freshman pitcher Kasha Kolb gave Shocker fans a glimpse of how good she can be this weekend. The Chelsea, Okla., native threw 20.0 innings and struck out 25 in four appearances at Evansville and No. 24 Southern Illinois. She became the first pitcher to one-hit the nationally-ranked Salukis all season in game one of Saturday's double header.

    Let's Take Two

Wichita State's double header sweep of Evansville was a rarity for the Shockers this season. It was the first double header sweep for WSU in 2009 and just the third time the Shockers have won two games in one day. The Shockers took two games on the first day of both the Sleep Inn Classic and Razorback Invitational.

    Patience

Wichita State hitters have shown great patience at the plate in 2009. Through 35 games the Shockers have drawn a league-best 137 walks, while opponents have managed just 92. Those 137 walks have contributed to WSU's league-best on base percentage of .386.
