  • NCAA Round of 32 - WSU v Miami

The U takes on the Shocks for a birth in the sweet 16.

Miami boasts the nation's #1 and defending player of the year.

Early results are in and the Canes take the doubles point 2-1. The Shocks were somewhat competitive but will now have to capture 4 of the 6 singles points to advance.

The #1 spot is almost an automatic because Cohen is so darned good.

4 out of the remaining 5 will be a chore. Let's see if the ladies are up to the task!

Looks bad early as the Shocks are down a break in 3 of the 6 matches already.

Well a great season comes to an end with a 4-0 loss at the hands of Miami.

Great, great season Shocks! The first NCAA win in the history of the program!

According to goShockers.com this was not only the first NCAA win in the history of WSU, but:

WSU was the first Missouri Valley Conference women’s tennis team to ever win a match in the NCAA Championship
