Alex will miss her 3rd year in the WNBA after suffering a torn labrum in practice when she collided with a male practice player. She plans on playing in Israel this winter and I presume she will try to return to the WNBA next year.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery to one my favorite Shockers of all-time.

I would like to see Paul or one of his Eagle associates take this opportunity to maybe do a piece following up on Alex's career path and her plans and see how she is doing following her surgery to repair a torn labrum that caused her to miss this year's WNBA season.
Not sure how much hands on stuff Alex will be able to do at her camp with her shoulder situation. Maybe she and Austin Reaves can commiserate and share notes.Last edited by 1972Shocker; July 1, 2017, 09:39 PM.

A very nice interview (I thought) of Alex Harden by Paul Suellentrop. (I wonder how Paul thought of doing this - see Post #66 above)
@WuDrWu: it does sound like Alex still wants to pursue a career in medicine at some point.
BTW, thanks Paul and good job.

Alex Harden was waived by the Phoenix Mercury on May 16th is and is not on a WNBA roster to open this season.

Alex missed all of last season with a shoulder injury that required surgery.
Not sure if Alex will try to catch on with another WNBA team, play some overseas maybe or move on to the next phase of her life.
