After this weekend's games, the Shockers (9-12) are two full games clear of Bradley (7-14) for the eighth and last spot in the Conference Tournament. Missouri State at 10-11 are one game ahead of the Shocks.
On Tuesday, we play a single game at Missouri State while Bradley does the same versus Northern Iowa. On Thursday, the Braves travels to Illinois State for a single game. We close out the regular season with a weekend series at Creighton, and Bradley hosts Missouri State.
The first tiebreaker is head-to-head competition. Since we split with Bradley, losing one game to weather, the next tiebreaker is the record against the #1 seed, then the #2 seed on down to the #8 seed where necessary. Bradley were 1-2 versus Creighton, the presumed #1 seed.
Hopefully, the midweek games will go in our direction, and the weekend series will be moot as far as qualification is concerned.
