This year's Shocker class is notable in the of the 4 inductees 2 are probably the Wichita State GOAT of their respective sports. In addition, to Alex Harden, WBB, that would include Taryn Torgerson. Also, just like Alex, Taryn did not walk on to campus as a can't miss recruit. She, as did Alex, with the help of their coaches and teammates, made themselves through hard work and dedication into the best Shocker in their chosen sport.
She won the MVC title in 2016 and the 2018 American Athletic Conference title in a dramatic playoff. She finished her career and still sits atop WSU's list for tournament wins (six), career stroke average (75.55) and season stroke average (73.26).
Taryn has 4 of the top 6 individual rounds in school history and 4 of the top 5 best 54 hole scores.
