All of the National Seeds advanced. Super Regionals (best of three) are:

16 Kentucky at 1 Oregon
9 South Carolina at 8 Arizona State
12 Alabama at 5 Washington
13 Arkansas at 4 Oklahoma

15 Texas A&M at 2 Florida
10 Tennessee at 7 Georgia
11 LSU at 6 Florida State
14 Arizona at 3 UCLA

The Eugene, Los Angeles and Gainesville Supers start Thursday while the remainder start Friday. These are best-of-three spread over three days.

The top eight National Seeds win their Super Regionals and move on to OKC where the Tournament starts on Thursday.

Four teams from the Pac-12, two from the SEC and one each from the Big 12 and the ACC.

After losing its opening game, Florida State won twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday to join an undefeated Washington in the best-of-three series starting on Monday to determine the National Champion. This is the first time an ACC team has made it to the championship series.

Game One

Florida State 1-0 Washington

A home run in the sixth backed up five-hit pitching by Meghan King. There is a video clip of an amazing defensive play in the top of the seventh by MOP Jessie Warren of Florida State. Unfortunately, I am clueless about embedding those things.


Game Two

Washington 3-8 Florida State

The Seminoles gave up three in the first but settled down to take the win and the championship on another five-hitter by King. Florida State had three homers in the game.


This is the first championship by an ACC team. The Seminoles won six elimination games in the Supers and the WCWS.
