  • I doubt it. You should have no problem. If you have a problem, I'm screwed!

    • Haha..

      Thanks fellas.

I've convinced her to go. Two first-time VB'ers. Hopefully, the first of many. Can't wait.

      ... No really, deuces.

Dillons or Quik Trip simply replaces the ticket offices as the walk up window.
Or, two hours prior to game time, Dillons returns the tickets to the ticket office so they can be sold as walk-ups.
          Great Idea !!!

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

          • Shockers set a new attendance record of 6,122 breaking the old record of 6,024 set early in the year vs KSU by 98 fans.

This record would not have been broken IMHO if not for the efforts of ShockerNetters.

Im not sure who all deserves credit but I know SpanglerFan316 did yeoman's work.

Special credit to WuDrWu for taking the lead on the ticket drive for the mentoring organizations. That segment alone would account for the record breaking differential.

Also thanks for all the positive posting about the Shocker VB team that I'm sure encouraged many folks to get out to tonight's match.

So maybe the athletic department should enlist the services of you guys for help in promoting other Shocker events.

Hell ya we did. What a great atmosphere period. The noise at times rivaled that heard at most men's bb games. Complete awesomeness! It's too bad I waited til now to see my first game. I never knew how much skill and strategy are involved in volleyball. I have a greater appreciation for the sport now. Two great teams, one fantastic game, and a thrilling come-from-behind WSU WIN! :yahoo: :goshocks:

I hold you, 72, and many others in here personally responsible for single-handedly convincing me to give it a go. Thanks a lot!

Great win, girls! Now, finish it out!

                      • For the first time, I was able to bring most of my family tonight (7 people). EVERYONE had fun all the way past the end, pictures with WuShock. What was totally remarkable was I have taken my 7 year old son to a couple of Shocker BB games last year and he was ready to leave shortly after half time and became quite a nuisance.
In contrast, tonight he literally was cheering every point and boooing a lost point. He clapped and cheered and yelled. He was into the match all the way to the end, AMAZING. He did not want to leave. My wife's first match and she loved it so much she willl be attending again. She was so into it that she was worn out by the third game. The game is so fast paced us oldies get tired just watching. And of course, my 18 year old son got really into it and enjoyed "watching" the ladies. Thank you Shockers for a great family time tonight, it was a specatular memory maker for us. Thanks.

Great post. lemuel777. I don't know who was responsible for adopting rally scoring in volleyball, but whoever it was knew what he was doing.

Actually, I would be willing to bet there's only a handfull or two that could get that many. Hawaii, Wisconsin, and Nebraska are the ones that come to mind right away. And Nebraska is only if they move it to the basketball arena.
