Record Breaking 6,024 for VB Game

Are you guys reselling the tickets or giving them away?

I'm giving mine away although one of my firiends did insist on reimbursing me for the 2 tickets he took.

I have given about 30 tickets to two volleyball progams, one high school and one youth program.

The rest are to various other friends, family and organizations.

Right now it looks like I am going to end up accounting for about 115 tickets.

I can't speak for the others, and while that would be fun, including me would ruin an otherwise beautiful picture.

Besides, by my accounting I believe I have received more from the VB program than I have returned. It's just nice to be able to do something to help recognize a very fine group of Coaches and student athletes to help balance out my ledger a little bit.

I know a lot of you out there get tired of us saying the same thing over and over in an effort to get more of you out to the games, but I really don't care so here I go again.



If you haven't been to a game, you really don't know what you are missing. The competition is fierce but the girls are so upbeat and positive you can't help but enjoy every point. There is almost no negative atmosphere but do not take this for complacency...these girls get after it!


The skill level and athleticism is greater than you ever imagined and its all WSU.


Get yourself and 10 friends to the game Friday.

I'm holding out hope I can survive the work thing until after the game. I will work quite a bit this weekend with the hunting holiday that takes place starting at sunup saturday morning. If you can figure out what the RR stands for, then you'll understand my work problem.

My schedule for tomorrow is two hours of meetings in the morning, a "employment meeting" (advice on who to keep and who to let go) from 1PM-6PM and volleyball at 7PM. Today I had a similar three hour "employment" meeting and most of the rest of today was spent preparing for tomorrow's "employment" meeting. I love meetings. :roll: If I snore during the VB match, you'll know why. My opportunity to distribute tickets tomorrow will be almost zero.

Distributing the number of tickets you bought is tough work in and of itself.

However, I have a hard time believing anyone could fall asleep during a WSU-MSU Volleball battle royal. Well, maybe at intermission or in-between games. :shock:

Not sure I can say that I am impressed with the effort out of the Sports Marketing department for this match. Although it's easy to criticize from the outside without all the facts.

Seems to me this would have been a great opportunity for a Corporate Sponsor (i.e. Dillons or Quik Trip) to have bought up all the available $1 tickets and given them away free at their outlets and locations.

The sponsor would also get several announcements of their Sponsorship on the Video Board during the match.

Maybe they tried this and just couldn't find an appropriate corporate sponsor. But, if you could put something like this together I think we might be able to come close to a sell out.
