Said he is definitley surprised that they are undefeated. Really did not expect that.

Said he believes team can continue to improve and get better.

He said hosting an NCAA regional is complicated by the fact the WSU uses an above ground net system and that the structures on each end of the net might impede a player trying to save a ball. Apparently, the NCAA prefers a below ground net anchoring sytem.

Won't happen at Koch Arena because the moisture barrier under the basketball court can't be penetrated.

He thinks the Top 6 teams in the MVC including the Shocks, MSU, UNI, CU, ILS and SIU will be very competitive. He also said a team like Drake could sneak up on you and get you if you are not ready to play.

You put a pole inside an old tire, fill it with cement, wait a day and we have a system that meets the guidelines.

In all my years of vb I have only seen a ball saved from this area a few times.

Lambo also commented that while the NCAA makes this an issue for the regionals, most of the Final Fours are held in large arenas that use the same type of setup that WSU uses.

If there's money to be made the NCAA will give WSU a regional.

Remember folks it's the NCAA, an organization that is full of hypocrisy and promotes quasi-institutional slavery/indentured servitude with student athletes.
