    Heh heh.........

Great find. Some of our southwest members need to find a way to get out and show that the Shocker family is in full gear support of volleyball.

I like scary-athletic volleyball players. And I really like where our program is heading and I hope we can maintain it, but that's only going to happen if

YOU ATTEND GAMES AND SUPPPORT THE PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!

Around a year ago, the Volleyball stuff was still inside the Women's Sports Forumn. Now we can find articles talking about recruits that Lamb is looking at. My how things change.

And Doc: I am picking up that you think people should attend the matches. Is that correct? :)

I hope I am not wrong, but I believe Stephanie has committed to the Shocks.

Dr, from what I have read about her I hope your info is correct (as it so often is!). I found the following picture of Stephanie in action.

              Nice find!

There are a few more. As stated before, I like "scary athleticism" and really look forward to seeing how she works with a talented cast next year. I get the impression that CDO is not as good this year, and I worry that SZ will become frustrated. Stephanie should explode next year with our team.

Also, keep your eye on Emily Adney, an All State player from Colorado that seems to be interested in WSU.

                VB Recruiting

As I understand it from this site, VB gets 12 scholarships a year & they cannot be split up among various team members similar to how it is handled in baseball. Since the Shockers have 2 seniors this year who are undoubtedly on scholarship, & have verbal committments from 2 others players for next season as shown above, I'm wondering how they can get any other committments for 2009-10. I do realize that WSU will have quite a few SR's playing next year. I'm sure there is an explanation for it or this girl from CO wouldn't be interested!

Don't forget that our volleyball team has a tendency to have very good students on the team. I wouldn't rule out someone is either on an academic scholarship, or someone on the current roster could be moving to a full academic scholarship.

                    Scholarships

I definitely agree with you on that point, but I'd like to see what DrWu has to say about it. I've noticed in the girls bio's that there are 2-3 of them who were Valedictorians of their HS Sr class.

Baseball definitely supplements the smaller amount of athletic scholarship money with academic money for those that deserve it and as you probably know, baseball a lot of kids on the honor roll every year. Rob Musgrave had a 4.0 gpa, for example.
